MEGABASSE - "FLAMENCA" LP

EFFICIENT SPACE:

Pierre Bujeau builds escape zones -musical spaces to slip the everyday. A member of French groups Omertà and Tanz Mein Herz, it’s solo as Megabasse where he fully breaks with reality. His setup is spare: twin Fender amps, a double-necked guitar, and a few bottles of lager. The guitar, usually a symbol of rock excess, becomes something gentler - zither-like patterns looped until the room blurs and a new world forms.

But this isn’t smug wellness. It’s rough-edged, DIY psychedelia - scuffed but hopeful. A communal dreamspace, imperfect and welcoming. Until now, Megabasse lived in CD-Rs, short-run tapes, and a vanished LP. This Efficient Space reissue gathers two intricate pieces plus a new track hinting at burnt-out guitar soli.

Unless you are very lucky, wise, or rich, life imposes its structures on you. Maybe a record of shimmering, tranced guitar is all you need to get out from underneath?
