Lou Reed was asked to play the event and requested The Feelies as his band for the evening. What has been excavated here for your delight is a wonderfully raucous string of revved out takes on sacred Velvet Underground hymns and a revelatory appearance from the street messiah himself on vocals about midway through. Are they booing me?
