1-800-MIKEY - "DIGITAL PET" LP

LULUS: Tongue poked out power pop punk from the single mind of 1-800-MIKEY. Mostly scrawning along in a Ben Weasel sort of tweener stomping verses fashion with the added thru-the-telephone mic sound of Marvelous Darlings and some big twinkly guitar hooks to round it off, bringing a truly classic and dramatic ecstatic power pop feel into the game. Dare I say there's remnants of Royal Headache's panache dusted over some of these song introductions and climaxes? Yeah I do. The 5th track "Welcome Back" introduces another welcome gear and I wish it went for longer - a real bop that one.
