Issue 02 of the Popular Front magazine is here. In this one we’ve got on the ground reporting from the rebel held jungles of Myanmar, details of recent letter bomb campaigns in Europe, a tour of a Ukrainian prison of war camp, and much more. Oh, and one of our reporters tests out 3D-printed rocket launchers. No-one does real grassroots conflict reporting like we do.

A grassroots media organisation focussing on ‘the niche details of modern warfare and under-reported conflict’, Popular Front produces documentaries, a podcast and now, a magazine.

After runaway success with their first issue, the second edition continues their style of unapologetic conflict journalism with a close look at resisting a military coup in Myanmar, a recent history of mail bombings, photos from the 2023 Paris suburb revolt, and much more. 

On the magazine's mission, editor-in-chief Jake Hanrahan writes: ‘This is war reporting without the frills and elitism often associated with conventional media. We document the highs and lows of a world on fire without watering it down or pushing an agenda. We're honest about who we are: misfits, anoraks, and transients. We don't like authoritarianism, but we're not dogmatic politicos.’
