Arena features the work of local and international artists, especially photographers, in this cultural-political publication, which asks critical questions about the directions our world is taking. The publication highlights writing and visual material that critically responds to environment and climate change; contemporary political forms and crises; scientific and technological emergences now recomposing life; media power and cultural representation; geopolitical, migration and refugee questions; gender and sex; and Indigenous life and politics. It looks for writing and visual works that point to new ways to conceive of life and society.
